Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Carelyn mobile application or website (the "Service") operated by Carelyn LLC ("Carelyn," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Carelyn is a family care coordination platform that helps caregivers and family members coordinate care for loved ones. The Service includes:
Carelyn is a coordination tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not replace professional medical care. In case of a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
Carelyn offers a free tier with core features including up to 5 family members, medication reminders, task management, care journal, and health vitals logging.
The Family plan includes unlimited family members, care scheduling, AI health insights, drug interaction warnings, FDA medication side effects, wearable device sync, data export, and priority support. A 7-day free trial is included. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis after the trial period ends.
Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

IMPORTANT: Carelyn is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider for medical questions. Do not rely on Carelyn for emergency medical assistance — call 911.
Information entered into Carelyn, including medication schedules, vitals readings, and care notes, is provided by users and is not verified by Carelyn. Carelyn makes no representations about the accuracy or completeness of user-entered health information.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Carelyn LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Carelyn name, logo, and tagline "Care, connected." are trademarks of Carelyn LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of the information and content you enter into Carelyn ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Carelyn a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and warrant that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@getcarelyn.com.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CARELYN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARELYN LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL CARELYN'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CARELYN IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Carelyn LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
