Carelyn does not use, include, or send any of your data to a third-party artificial intelligence (AI) service. Your health information, personal data, and care group content are never transmitted to any AI service.
Information you add to Carelyn — including health vitals, medications, tasks, and journal entries — is shared with other members of your care group whom you have invited. You control who is in your care group.

The app also retrieves medication reference information from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's openFDA database and the U.S. National Library of Medicine's RxNorm service. These requests contain only a medication name; no user identifiers, personal data, or health information is sent to them.
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Health-related information you enter is stored securely and accessible only to your authorized care group members. It is never sold to third parties or used for advertising, and is not shared with insurance companies, employers, or healthcare providers without your explicit consent.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@getcarelyn.com.
You may access and update your account information at any time through the app settings. You may also contact us at hello@getcarelyn.com to request access to or correction of your personal information.
You may delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account); in-app deletion takes effect immediately. If you no longer have the app installed, you may request deletion by emailing hello@getcarelyn.com from the email address associated with your account, and we will delete your information within 30 days of verifying your request. You may disable push notifications at any time through the app settings or your device's notification settings.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
