Delete Your Account

Before You Delete

• iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Carelyn → Cancel
• Android: Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Carelyn → Cancel

Option 1 — Delete in the App

1. Open Carelyn and sign in
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion

Your account is deleted immediately. There is no grace period and no way to undo it.

Option 2 — Request Deletion Without the App

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email us from the email address associated with your Carelyn account:

Send to hello@getcarelyn.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We verify that the request comes from the account owner's email address and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

In every case, your account, sign-in credentials, profile, and personal identifiers are permanently deleted. What happens to care records depends on whether other people share your care group:

If you are the only member of your care group

Everything is permanently deleted: medications, medication history, tasks, care journal entries, health vitals, and the care schedule.

If other members remain in your care group

• Your account and personal identifiers are permanently deleted
• Care records you contributed (such as medication logs and health vitals) remain with the care group, because they are part of the patient's shared health record — but your name is removed from them
• Any care shifts assigned to you are released as open so other members can cover them
• If you held the group's Carelyn Family subscription, the group is moved to the Free plan

Data We May Retain

Payment and billing records are retained where required for tax, accounting, or other legal obligations. Subscription payments are processed by Apple and Google; we never hold your payment card details. Everything else is deleted as described above.
